Engaging tourism in Vancouver

Feb 2014

We’ve lived and been apart of the Vancouver community for several years, so when Resonance Consultancy approached us for help with their Vancouver Tourism production, we just couldn’t say no! Tourism Vancouver approached Resonance to create a master plan for the city of the next 10 years. The plan would give suggestions on promoting tourism by way of new infrastructure, by-law enactments and cultural developments.

We were contracted to help film a video that would showcase interviews with Rick Atonson (CEO – Tourism Vancouver) and Richard Cutting-Miller (VP – Resonance Consultancy) mixed with b-roll of the city. Although some stock footage was used from the Tourism Vancouver archives, we were also able to film tons of b-roll throughout downtown Vancouver. We shot primarily on the Canon 5D MK II along with the EF 70-200L 2.8 IS, EF 16-35L 2.8 and a TS-E 24mm. Most of the footage used a tripod as well as a glidecam, which we used to film beautiful engaging images of the city’s architecture and culture.
