Jan 2019

Need to get creatively inspired? School left you craving a change of pace? Come on over to Pixel Motion Films in Vancouver, British Columbia for an internship of a lifetime! We are now accepting applications from students and undertakers from around the world. Pixel is always seeking fresh and mature talent alike. Interns can expect a well-rounded production experience, working with a small team to bring big ideas to fruition.

Check out what a few of our past Interns had to say about their experience at Pixel:

“My experience at Pixel was fantastic! They gave me a chance to develop many hands-on skills that I never had the chance to properly learn in school. They gave me great feedback on my work and weren’t afraid to push me to do something better if there was room for improvement. They treat their interns like they are part of the team and are very easy to get along with. Overall, my experience at Pixel was unmatched when compared to any other company I spent an internship with and I highly recommend working with these guys!”

“Interning at Pixel Motion Films was an experience that surpassed every expectation that I had. Peter and Mike are very professional, organized and extremely patient individuals. They are incredibly talented filmmakers and are more than willing to take the time to teach you things that are of interest. Pixel is a fun and positive environment in which I was able to improve my technical skills.

“In the summer of 2017, I had the opportunity to work for Mike and Pete as an intern for ‘Pixel Motion Films’. During this 2 month period, it really opened my eyes up to the potential that this filmmaking world offered. From shooting to editing, both Mike and Pete provided me with plenty of opportunities where I had the chance to grow as a filmmaker and learn the years of experience that Mike and Pete both had that I didn’t at that time.’”

“Working at Pixel taught me a lot. You’re not only working with ambitious people who inspire you to grow to your fullest potential, but also the working atmosphere is warm and welcoming. This was my first experience working in a foreign county. Peter and Mike made me feel welcome. Peter and Mike tried to involve me in different projects so I would learn all the aspects of producing a film. They gave me room to experiment and enough independence to grow. They were patient and took time to answer my questions even though they were busy. Overall my time at Pixel was instructive and welcoming. I’m happy to have worked with them, and wish them the best in their personal and professional lives.”

“I had the great opportunity to spend my internship at Pixel Motion. I immediately felt welcomed to the team and had the chance to work on a complex coding project, which involved understanding the scope and problem, coding, and debugging it. I was also invited to participate in some of the video production projects and was trusted with expensive equipment. After my practicum at Pixel, I also had the opportunity to work on some logo animation which made me realize my interest in working with animation and CSS3. I would definitely suggest a fellow student to apply for an internship at Pixel. And I myself won’t hesitate to work with them again in the future.”

“Interning at Pixel Motion Films introduced me to post-production like I had never seen it before. Peter and Mike’s attention to details propelled my editing abilities to new levels in a short amount of time. Working alongside professionals is the quickest way to learn and expand your potential, and PMF provides an open and friendly environment to do just that. This is a great place to hone your craft without the burden of paying for schooling or courses.”

“Completing my industry practicum at Pixel Motion Films ended in what interns wish for – a job. While my classmates were taking inventory at equipment rental houses, I spent a quick four weeks at PMF getting hands-on experience with the whole production process. From creating workback schedules, to on-location shooting with cameras previously out of my league, to gaining editing skills in post, I felt like I got to flex every production muscle I had during my internship.”
